"Preparation for Confirmation should aim at leading the Christian toward a more intimate union with Christ and a more lively familiarity with the Holy Spirit - his actions, his gifts and his biddings - in order to be more capable of assuming the apostolic responsibilities of Christian life.
To this end, catechesis for Confirmation should strive to awaken a sense of belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ, the universal Church as well as the parish community." Catechism of the Catholic Church 1309
The Confirmation date for students who completed their 2 year preparation has been set for March 4th, at 6:30 p.m. with Archbishop Emeritus Naumann presiding.

What if my child is older than 7th or 8th Grade and has not yet been confirmed?
If your child has received first sacraments and been regularly enrolled in Religious Education programs, than he/she may register and complete the two year curriculum. It is not uncommon to have older students in the classes, so your child will not feel out of place.
What is the registration fee and why do I have to pay it?
The registration fee covers all aspects of your child’s participation in our confirmation program. This includes curriculum materials and the confirmation retreat.
Who can be a sponsor?
A sponsor for confirmation is a Catholic individual who has been fully initiated into the Catholic Church through Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. A sponsor must be active and fully participating in the Catholic faith, be at least 18 years old, lead a life of faith, not bound by any canonical penalty, and not a parent of the confirmandi. Sponsors will be asked to provide a letter from their parish stating they are registered and active. The role of a sponsor is to support the one being confirmed, to represent the community, and to speak for the person’s readiness for confirmation. A sponsor needs to be present for the confirmation liturgy.
What if my sponsor can’t attend the confirmation liturgy?
If an emergency prevents a sponsor from attending, a proxy may be designated in place of the original sponsor. The original sponsor’s name will appear on the confirmation certificate.
