Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, Jesus said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. (Matthew 14:19)

Also commonly known as Eucharistic Ministers, parishioners who join this ministry have an opportunity to literally follow Jesus’s command to “feed my sheep.” Eucharistic ministers take on the unique role of assisting the priest in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to fellow parishioners during Mass. The Distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during the Mass is truly a ministry to the People of God. All ministers of Holy Communion should show the greatest reverence for the most holy Eucharist by their demeanor, their attire, and the manner in which they handle the consecrated bread or wine.
This ministry is open to all confirmed men and women in the parish.
